North Uist Wind Turbines Enabling Works
MacInnes Bros Ltd acted as the Principal Contractor for the site enabling works on this community driven development. The main scope of works included the construction of a new access road and the upgrade of an existing access road followed by the construction of 2no crane platforms and foundation pads to accommodate the wind turbines. Hard landscaping works were subcontracted to a local surfacing contractor.
The community were at the centre of this project which allowed site visits from local newspapers to capture progress photos and also enabled the local committee to attend regular site visits/meetings to see construction and progress of the development. Working together and supporting the local community is very important to MacInnes Bros Ltd regardless of the working location.
MacInnes Bros Ltd completed our scope of works on time and within budget.
